Chapter 1: It's All Because of You
Nature is stupid and annoying. No, not really... There was a beautiful sunset playing before you. Actually, everything around you was beautiful. Only you weren't beautiful... You were gloomy and depressed, which made everything in your point of view annoyingly stupid. Gosh, why can't nature sense the mood for once?!
You released a long and heavy sigh. At the moment, you were curled up like a ball on a hill overlooking the city you live in at 6:00 P.M. The sun was setting down, illuminating the buildings - such a beautiful sight. Unable to look at the scenery anymore, you buried your head on your arms.
Today was the worst day of your life. Your heart was shattered into a million pieces and nothing would be able to repair it. Today was the day you had just found out tha Berwald had a wife. And it was a freaking guy! Tino Väinämöinen sure is a lucky man...
Without you knowing, tears started rolling down your cheeks. You liked Berwald. No, scratch that. You loved him. You loved everything about him! His tall figure and his muscled body. His blue eyes, his silentness, and even his glare! You loved him very much. A lot. The whole universe cannot compare to how much you loved him.
It broke your heart when you heard one of your friends, Mathias, say something about Berwald's "wife".
"What? Berwald has a wife?!" You whipped your head to look at the Dane.
"Hm? You didn't know? It's Tino. Man, you sure are dumb if haven't noticed!" he laughed.
Mathias's words echoed in your head. This only caused you to cry harder. You didn't feel like living if Berwald wasn't yours.
"You suck, Mother Nature...." you sobbed.

It was nine o'clock now. You stumbled into the streets of your town, your body heavy and spirits down. The people around you could sense it, so they avoided your pathway. You didn't mind one bit. Actually, right now, you didn't mind anything at all. Your (e/c) orbs trailed down to the ground. The city lights were too bright for your dull eyes.
You sighed. A sea of depression soon overwhelmed you. 'Why can't I have something beautiful for once? Am I that unworthy of such things? Damn lucky bastard... If only I was Tino... no. If only I am like Tino. Happy. Nice. All smiley-smiley. Then maybe Berwald will like me...'
You shook your head. No. It wasn't that. It was because you were a human. You knew that Berwald was the personification of the country of Sweden, and Tino, the country of Finland. 'If I was a country, would he like me? After all, they live have lived longer. Meaning that they have spent more time together. If I was a country and he has spent more time with me, would I have been his wife instead?'
Since you were drowned in thought and sorrow, you didn't notice a door opening before you. It slammed hard on the front of your face. WHAM!
"OW!! What the frickin'?!!" you yelled as you held your face in your hands.
"Oh, (Name)?! I'm sorry! Are you alright?!" a familiar voice said. You looked up from your hands. Standing in front of you was Tino. His concerned face - his perfect concerned, little face - made you speechless. You could only nod in response. He then proceeded in helping you up.
"I didn't see you there, I'm so very sorry! I'll treat you to a cup of (favorite hot beverage) as an apology gift!" This made you smile a little. Tino took that as a "yes" and led you inside the building that he just got out of.

Drinking something hot in a cold night lifted some of your spirits up. You let out a soft chuckle as you finished sipping half of your beverage.
"(Name), I don't want to pry, but the tear streaks on your cheeks tell me that you have been crying. Why is that?" asked the Finnish man in front of you.
You flinched. 'Crap, he noticed!' You let out a fake laugh and waved your hands in a shooing motion, "It's nothing Tino! This was from when the door slammed on my face!"
Tino didn't look convinced. His violet/brown eyes narrowed at you. You flinched at his glare. Sheesh... He sure was a scary Santa!
Your shoulders slumped in defeat. Your (e/c) orbs looked at the drink you had in your cold hands. The (favorite hot beverage) reflected your sad and pathetic image.
You heaved a heavy sigh as you replied to his question, "I am heartbroken, Tino. And its all because of you." Through your eyelashes, you could see him recoil in shock.
